Roofing Problems We See Most in North Kingstown
North Kingstown roofing covers two different worlds. Wickford village holds some of the oldest continuously occupied housing in the state, with steep simple pitches and small footprints.
Those older roofs were built for wood shingle and slate. Converted to asphalt, they can carry hidden layers, undersized decking and flashing details that were never meant for modern materials.
The rest of the town runs newer, with subdivision colonials and ranches along Post Road and toward Saunderstown. Different housing, same coastal exposure, since the water is never far in North Kingstown.
